Hiring

Atlassian Consultant (Jira / JSM Data Center) with an interest in AI

Digilac is a compact, senior Atlassian and applied-AI consultancy based in Neuchâtel. We are looking for a German- and English-speaking Atlassian consultant to strengthen our team on a client engagement, and to grow with us into AI.

About Digilac

Founded in 2020, Digilac designs, migrates and runs the systems teams depend on every day: service desks, project management and knowledge bases. We are an Atlassian Gold Solution Partner and an independent AI integrator.

  • 15,000+ users on systems we run, 45+ organizations served, zero data lost in a migration.
  • Clients range from Swiss SMEs and medtech to luxury watchmaking, international organizations and the Swiss federal administration.
  • We build our own AI products too, such as Swiss Open Data, an AI assistant over Switzerland’s official data in four languages, and OpenMethod: your methodology, guided by AI — the AI drafts, your experts decide.

Our team is deliberately small: the people who scope a project are the people who deliver it.

The role

You will join one of our longest-running engagements: a Swiss federal office with a large, business-critical service desk running on Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence Data Center, clustered and fully on-premises.

The candidate must combine composure with rigor, treating formal approvals, security reviews and thorough documentation as an integral part of delivering reliable, compliant work rather than as obstacles to speed. All work is delivered in German.

At the same time, we are bringing AI into exactly this kind of environment: on premises, with the client’s data and under the client’s rules. We want you to be part of that, learning fast alongside our AI & automation developer.

What you will do

  • Act as a day-to-day contact for the client’s Atlassian team, alongside a senior colleague, and handle their requests quickly and reliably.
  • Administer and configure Jira, JSM and Confluence Data Center: workflows, screens, custom fields, permission schemes, automation rules, request types, SLAs, users and groups.
  • Run changes the controlled way: test on staging, document, get approval, deploy in the agreed maintenance window.
  • Support upgrades, Marketplace app updates and platform consolidation work, together with the client’s infrastructure team.
  • Write clear concepts, documentation and operating manuals in German.
  • Report your monthly time according to the federal framework agreement.
  • Over time, help design and run AI features on top of these platforms (knowledge assistants, service-desk triage, automation), and use AI tools in your own daily work.
  • Contribute to other Digilac projects when capacity allows.

What you bring

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience administering Jira and/or Jira Service Management, ideally Data Center or Server, plus solid Confluence knowledge.
  • A good grasp of ITSM processes: incidents, service requests, changes, SLAs.
  • Fluent German (C1 or higher) and professional English (B2 or higher), spoken and written.
  • Composure and discipline for regulated environments: you document, follow the process, while providing constructive feedback, even when an approval takes longer than usual.
  • Eager to learn: you have scripted something (Python, Groovy/ScriptRunner, Bash, REST APIs) and you enjoy learning new tools. You don’t need to be an AI expert yet; you need to want to become one.
  • Autonomy: you work well remotely, organize your own day, and know when to ask for help.
  • Candidates must be based in Switzerland and hold Swiss citizenship or a valid Swiss work permit.
  • Willingness to undergo a federal personnel security screening if a client requires it.

Nice to have

  • French: we are based in Neuchâtel and many of our clients work in French.
  • Atlassian certifications, such as ACP-600 (Jira Project Administration) or Jira Service Management Administrator.
  • Experience with public administration or another regulated sector (finance, pharma, medtech).
  • Linux basics and some exposure to on-premises operations: clustering, databases, reverse proxies.
  • First hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, MCP or Atlassian Forge.

What we offer

  • A permanent, full-time (100%) contract with a Swiss consultancy.
  • Remote-friendly work from anywhere in Switzerland. Our office is at Microcity in Neuchâtel, opposite the train station, whenever you want to meet in person.
  • A small, senior team: you learn directly from experienced Atlassian architects and our AI & automation developer.
  • Time and support to learn AI on real client projects, not just on slides.
  • Variety: federal, international and Swiss SME clients, on Atlassian Cloud and Data Center.
  • A competitive Swiss salary.
